My Swiss Army Knife Story:
My
name is Herman Friesen and I have been a proud Victorinox Swiss Army knife
owner for over 23 years. I like your knives so much that I bought Swiss
Army Champs for each of my four children, my wife and my father-in-law
(picture attached)! I carry my Swiss Army Champ and my Swiss Memory USB
with me every day. I own the Swiss Craftsman and an extra Champ as well.
I bought my first Swiss Army knife, the Fisherman because I am an avid
fisherman and I was sure it would be useful. I found out how useful when
my uncle and I were out in the middle of the lake and I landed a large
Canadian Northern Pike. When trying to remove the hook from the big,
extremely slippery fish, I ended up with a triple barbed hook stuck in my
finger! One barb caught the fish, and another passed right through my
finger so there was no way to pull it out. I couldn’t get a good grip
on the fish but managed to wedge it between my knees, get out my new Swiss
Army knife with my free hand and actually cut through my finger to free the
barbed hook! My uncle threw up, I bandaged my finger, and we kept on
fishing. Without my Swiss Army knife, we would have had to stop fishing!
Next my wife gave me a Craftsman and, since we owned a motel and I did all the
repairs, it was my portable tool box. Later, after I had my first Swiss
Champ, I developed some property and on one occasion, while working out on the
site, met someone who was poking around, sold him a lot, and since neither one
of us had a pen, signed the deal with my Champ’s convenient little pen.
I have sawed through countless 2 X 4s with my Champ’s saw; I’ve even used
it to even off the bottom of the trunk of the Christmas tree. I use the
scissors for everything from trimming my fingernails to cutting sandpaper to
clipping small wires. I have used my Champ to fix the bindings on my
snowboard and the fittings on my sailboard. The pliers have removed
countless slivers from my kids’ fingers and one of the phrases I hear most
often is “Dad can I borrow your knife?” because they know I always
carry it. My kids gave me the Swiss Memory USB for Father’s Day last
year and it has not left my pocket since – unless one of them borrows it! I
use my knives every single day and couldn’t function without them! I
recommend them whenever I get the chance!
