My Swiss Army Knife Story:

I got my first Swiss Army knife for Christmas in 1987,and still using it today. The knife is a Spartan and it holds an incredible edge. I use the knife for everyday uses and believe me it is used everyday and sometimes several times a day. I do a lot of apple tree grafting in my orchard, and I didn't know until last year there was a grafting knife made by Swiss Army, until I got a computer and last year and looked up your site. I do a lot of grafting, few hundred a year to give you an idea. I used my Spartan and it worked good for grafting, but it didn't have a bark lifter for budding. I got online and found out that Swiss army had a grafter and budding knife all in 1, so I purchased it. I've done a lot of shield budding last summer, and I was looking at my grafts just last week and I have a 95% successful graft unions that took. I believe the I had such a good success in grafting this year, because of the knife made cleaner , and smoother cuts according to my neighbor that grafts as well. My neighbor uses a Tina knife, which is a lot more expensive to buy than a Swiss, and he had only a 60%take on his grafts. He tried my knife ,and said it was just as good if not better than the Tina he uses. So yesterday I got online and ordered me another grafter, this will make me 2 Swiss grafting knives because my wife bought me one for my birthday last year and one Spartan. My neighbor found out I ordered another grafter and know he wants one. I think Swiss knives are about the best knives on the market for the price and quality.
